FU SHOU: Cinnabar | Purple Jade | Yoga Chakra Bracelet
Crystals were created as the earth formed and they have continued to metamorphose as the planet itself has changed. They are the earth's DNA, a chemical imprint for evolution. They are miniature storehouses containing the records of the development of the earth over millions of years, and bearing the indelible memory of the powerful forces that shaped it. Their crystalline structure can absorb, conserve, focus and emit energy, especially on the electromagnetic waveband.
Crystals make excellent jewelry for both men and women. Wearing gems used to be a royal or priestly prerogative. The high priest of Judaism wore a breastplate set with precious stones. It was much more than a badge of office; it conveyed power to the wearer. As far back as the Stone Age, men and women wore crystal jewelry and talismen. They had a protective as well as decorative function, guarding their wearer from harm.
Crystals have been used to heal and bring balance, working through resonance and vibration. Crystals are said to heal holistically - that is to say, they work on the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels of being. They realign subtle energies that surrounds and interpenetrates the physical body and activating linkage points to the chakras that regulate the body's vibrational stasis. Chakra stone therapy has been shown to help cancer patients.

Fu Shou : Felicity & Longevity
The character fu is "good fortune, blessings, happiness." It denotes being happy as the result of being lucky. The character is prominently displayed on doors, often upside-down, as "turn upside-down" and a word meaning "arrive" are homophones; in other words, to say "luck upside-down" sounds like "luck is coming."
The character shou stands for longevity. In Taoism, life is everything, without which, nothing is left. So the current life (as opposed to the afterlife) is overwhelmingly valued. Thus the desire to live longer is the goal of life.
Shou and fu co-exist; to live long is to have fu.

Purple Jade is an asset to all when worn or carried, especially for those who need to "lighten up" and relax into the flow of life. Jade is the stone of calm in the midst of storm.
Purple Jade is a stone of mirth and happiness. By purifying the aura and dispelling any negative feelings or attitudes, it allows for the spontaneous joy of life to fill the soul and spill over to others. The humor evoked by this stone enhances appreciation of the Divine order in all things.
Purple Jade, in shades of light to dark violet, is also a stone of discernment. Its frequency speaks of spiritual knowledge and the ability to use that information to decide what is most aligned with one's personal path.
